Cured-in-Place Pipe Relining
When you find out that your sewer line is broken or has a severe root problem an alternative to major excavation is cured in place pipe lining. Using the cured in place pipelining technique a project can usually be completed in less than a day. The line is first cleaned using heavy duty power rodders and high-pressure water or hydro jetting. This removes debris and roots. Then the line is inspected with a video camera which records the length and condition of the sewer. The sewer pipe relining material is then cut to the desired length. A proper amount of resin is measured and mixed. The liner is filled with the resin and completely impregnated. The liner is then loaded into an inversion unit. The sewer pipe relining material is then launched from a single access point through the sewer pipe. The liner is able to make its way through 22°, 45° and sweeping 90° angles. The liner inverts inside the pipe much like pulling a sock inside out. The resin is now in direct contact with the wall of the pipe being relined and once cured permanently seals out all roots and water infiltration and becomes a permanent structural repair.
